The LulzBot TAZ 6 3D printer can be modified with different types of extruders to achieve larger prints and to print with multiple materials.
LulzBot TAZ MOARstruder
The LulzBot TAZ MOARstruder is a toolhead compatible with LulzBot TAZ 6 3D printer. This modification allows the 3D printer to extrude filament using thicker layers (greater layer height) and print large models faster than using the standard extruder.
If your print time estimate exceeds 8 hours, then the MOARstruder may be an option for you. Contact the Makers Lab to request to 3D print with the MOARstruder.

LulzBot TAZ Dual Extruder v3
The LulzBot TAZ Dual Extruder (v3) is a toolhead compatible with LulzBot TAZ 6 3D printer. The modification allows for the 3D printer to print using two filaments instead of one. The Dual Extruder can print with a majority of PLA plastics and with water-soluble filament, like PVA. 3D printing with water-soluble support structures is a great solution for 3D printing complex models, such as protein structures.
