The UCSF Library is actively engaged in creating digital access to rare and unique collections. You can also see digitized items from UCSF on Calisphere, a gateway to digital collections from California's libraries, archives, and museums, on HathiTrust, a large-scale collaborative repository of digital content from research libraries; the Internet Archive, a digital library offering free universal access to books, movies, music, and archived web pages.
The UCSF Library also hosts the Industry Documents Library (IDL), a digital archive of millions of documents publicly disclosed in litigation against industries which influence public health. IDL includes the Truth Tobacco Industry Documents, along with the UCSF-JHU Opioid Industry Documents Archive and significant collections of drug, chemical, food, and fossil fuel industry documents. All collections are freely available online.
