EndNote is available to UCSF faculty, staff, and students through two options:
- For UCSF-funded use: Purchase EndNote through the SCM (Supply Chain Management) website at a discounted institutional price. Note that purchases must be made using a purchase order. Credit cards are not accepted for this option.
- For personal use: Purchase EndNote at a discounted price through the Academic Software Center (OnTheHub). Please note that OnTheHub is intended for personal purchases and should not be used for UCSF-funded work.

- Handles large article libraries well (>5,000)
- Industry standard
- Ability to fetch full text of articles in batches
Cons:
- Cost
- Steeper learning curve
- Duplicate removal is confusing
- Cannot directly export to a spreadsheet program
